We’re now almost into autumn and another year has flown by. We’ve got a new government and with that government comes new challenges, not least how to make those £'s go so much further.
Medical Education is a priority and an essential part of the NHS and we should ensure that it is always kept in the forefront of each of our Trusts. Times will be hard over the coming years with funding and job cuts but I know that you will all do your best in these difficult times.
I’m coming now to the end of my 3 years as Chair of NAMEM and reflecting on what it’s meant to me. I have learned so much over this time and made some, hopefully, life long friends and its a time I am so glad I was lucky enough to experience.
Would you like to become more involved with your own organisation? There are currently 2 vacancies on council which we need to fill, could you be the right person? Plus its always useful to have a succession plan for other areas, so if you’re interested please contact you regional rep for more information and maybe you could be the Chair of the future!
