Chairman’s Letter – February 2012
Well, a year has gone by since my election to the role of Chair at the Cardiff Conference and the Oxford Conference in September seems ages away!
This year has been hectic and I think we have deduced that it is not wise for the Conference to be in the same region as that of the Chair – live and learn! I am delighted to say that although we have had some ‘retirements’ from Council, we have also managed to recruit new council members, so again we are up to full strength.
Our January Council meeting is mainly taken up with planning the Annual Conference in Bristol for next September. As always, if you have anything that might be relevant to this, please discuss it with your regional representative. We will be looking at the feedback from the Oxford conference (which was mainly very positive) but will take on board your comments for improvement and hopefully build them into the programme.
I will continue to represent NAMEM on your behalf at the appropriate national meetings and will report back as necessary to your regional representatives.
